![]() About Us The Story of Our Bulldog Adventure My love of bulldogs began when I was a small child and I have been studying and researching the breed for over 20 years. About 4 years ago I became serious about owning my first and after much searching I was lucky enough to find my darling Frankie and my obsession with the breed just expanded. Now our goal is too help other people bring a bulldog into their lives with as much happiness as they have brought to ours. Luckily I have a very understanding husband who loves the breed as much as I do. Or it could just be that he is deployed so much with the military that he hasn't noticed that I have them :) A little known fact about bulldogs is that they can give you and those around you a condition called "Bulldog Fever". Bulldog Fever can be quite serious as it causes you to spend large quantities of money and time adopting more and more bulldogs into your family. Shortly after bringing Frankie home, my mother fell victim to bulldog fever and joined me in my quest to have some of the nicest, healthiest bulldog around. The Story of Our Welsh Corgi Adventure When I was growing up we had a dog named Bobber. He was 1/2 German Shepherd and 1/2 Basset Hound. He was quite the picture. He has the head of a German Shepherd and the body and legs of a Basset Hound. He was a one of kind dog that is for sure! He was a beloved family member and a great dog to have around the farm. He would patrol the grounds and make sure all the animal stayed where they were supposed to be; even the pigs who seemed to be able to get out no matter what we tried. Years later we discovered Corgi's while we were visiting a horse boarding facility. My father instantly fell in love with the breed as they slightly resembled Bobber and our search began for the elusive Corgi for my father. We all thought that he would be disappointed because you can rarely replace a beloved family member like Bobber but the Corgis have not been disappointing in anyway. They are as loyal and loving as Bobber and they have an excellent herding ability that we have found quite helpful with the horses and other farm animals. The Story of Our Bloodhound Adventure I have been trying to find a breed of dog that could help my husband with an activity he used to be very active in....Search and Rescue and Tracking. Hopefully when he returns from his deployment in Afghanistan he will be pleased in the top notch pair of Bloodhounds that I have found for him. I'm sure he will love their laid-back good nature and their eagerness to please. The Story of Our Beagle Adventure We have had Beagles for as long as I can remember. My father is an avid rabbit hunter. Of course I'm using the word hunter loosely because he rarely takes a gun. He just likes watching and hearing his dogs do what they are bred to do....run rabbits. And now he has my nephew, his grandson just as hooked on them. The beagles are great because not only are they great sport-dogs but they are also great family pets who are smart and loving. As a result of all our adventuring we will have several litters a year of wonderful, high-quality puppies. If you are interested in one of our puppies please Email Us at Puppies@RockyHollerKennel.com to be added to our waiting list or view our "Our Puppies" page to see what we currently have available.
